Soldier Listens In Horror As Pregnant Wife Is Stabbed During FaceTime Chat

Police in Texas report that a U.S. soldier stationed overseas was forced to listen as his pregnant wife was stabbed multiple times during their FaceTime chat. After Rachelle Poole arrived home on Wednesday, she began chatting with her husband using FaceTime, when an assailant began stabbing her, according to KFOX.
Police say Corey Bernard Moss, 19, who is also a soldier stationed at Fort. Bliss, had broken into the home and was laying in wait when Poole arrived. Police say Moss came to the home to confront Poole about money he owed her, but when he discovered she wasn’t home, he broke in.
Moss attacked Poole from behind with a knife and Poole’s husband could hear the entire struggle. As she was being beaten and stabbed, Poole managed to scream the name of her attacker so that her husband could hear. Moss eventually fled the scene and Poole was able to call 911 and report the attack.

Moss was reportedly found with the knife and admitted to the attack. Police say Poole is in critical condition and her unborn child is in good condition. Police have charged Moss with criminal attempted murder.
Fort Bliss spokesman Maj. Stephen Holt says they are cooperating with the investigation.
“We pride ourselves on the professionalism of the Soldiers within our ranks,” Holt said. “Behavior such as these alleged actions are not representative of the men and women who serve at Fort Bliss. Our immediate concern is for the safety and welfare of the victim. We are monitoring her condition and our thoughts and prayers are with her for a full and quick recovery.”
