POLITICAL CARNIVAL: 1st Lady Patience Jonathan Buries Mom In Grand Style [PHOTOS]

It was a carnival like affair in Okrika, Rivers State on the 4th of November 2013 as the 1st lady Patience Jonathan buried her mother in grand style.The lavish events which kicked off on Thursday saw the attendance of the President Jonathan , Vice President Sambo, several State Governors, Ministers, Political Leaders, Public Servants and Nollywood Stars.

Some are alleging that a sum of N7 billion naira of Nigeria's  tax payers funds was wasted on this carnival like burial. Well if this is true, its is really outrageous, money that will go a long way in reducing poverty in Nigeria that is what was spent on a burial, the truth is if we continue like this I doubt if we would ever get better.

Saharareporters sources said funds for the burial were taken from several ministries including the FCT, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, the ministry of Education, Delta State, Bayelsa state  and the ministry of defence.

It is also thought provoking to wonder what they would spend on a child's dedication if they spent that much on the death of someone.
