The long reigning Queen of Nollywood, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde was conferred with a chieftaincy title on the 8th of November 2013 in Ondo State. The honour was part of the ceremonies marking the 60th birthday & 7th coronation anniversary of the Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom, Oba Victor Kiladejo.
According to the Council of the Ondo Kingdom, this was to acknowledge her achievements in the movie industry and as an illustrious daughter of the state. Roll out the red carpet, and get a crown for the lastest chief in town.
2013 will definitely be a year for the Nollywood star to remember.
Omotola Jalade has been presented with the Ebony Vanguard Award for her long standing achievements in acting at the 7th Birmingham International Film Festival M Visa Awards on Saturday 2nd November 2013 at the ICC Conference Centre in UK. No wonder she missed the Nollywood at 20 event.
Before then she was also at the World Innovation Summit on Education (WISE) in Doha, Qatar, as an invited guest alongside former Australia Prime Minister Julia Gillard. Big congrats to her. Check out her Rooi Couture dress. Lovely!
